Vessel Sealing System

RF Kinetics integrates RF energy delivery, forceps design, and control strategies into unified vessel sealing systems that support reliable and controlled vessel sealing performance. These systems combine dedicated RF generators with purpose-designed vessel sealing forceps to manage energy delivery and mechanical compression in a coordinated manner, reflecting core principles of system-level surgical energy design.

System Overview

Vessel sealing is a coordinated process that requires both controlled RF energy delivery and precisely applied mechanical force at the target tissue. RF Kinetics’ vessel sealing system brings together a dedicated RF generator, forceps designed for integrated bipolar energy delivery, and control logic to support consistent tissue response throughout a sealing cycle.

RF Generator Integration

The RFK-VS Vessel Sealing and General Purpose Generator serves as the power source for vessel sealing applications as well as traditional monopolar and bipolar modes. It includes algorithm-driven sealing performance and multiple operating modes, providing versatility across procedures. Its user-friendly interface with preset storage enables customizable configuration for specific surgical needs, supporting both system performance and clinical workflow.

Forceps and Mechanical Compression

Vessel sealing forceps are designed to work in tandem with the RF generator to apply mechanical compression while delivering RF energy through the sealing site. For example, the Seal-N-Cut 5 mm forceps integrate both bipolar vessel sealing and monopolar cutting modes, provide full jaw rotation, and promote low thermal spread for reduced collateral tissue effect.

Coordinated Energy and Mechanical Control

In an effective vessel sealing system, RF energy output and mechanical compression are coordinated so that the delivery of power responds to tissue conditions. This synchronization helps manage energy deposition, thermal profiles, and tissue interaction throughout the sealing cycle, reducing unnecessary thermal spread and supporting predictable performance.

Uses

Vessel sealing systems are commonly applied in surgical procedures where controlled closure of blood vessels and efficient tissue management are required. The integration of dedicated RF energy and instrument mechanics enables applications across a range of procedures requiring bipolar sealing and cutting functionality.
